Bank yourself a new job in Finance
At the end of 2018 there was a noticeable uplift in the number of Accounting and Finance vacancies across the UK, according to the most recent Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) report on jobs.
This trend was also reflected in the number of searches carried out by recruiters and employers in SecsintheCity’s CV database; last month nearly 20% of all recruiter searches were in Banking & Finance and Accountancy.
December is typically a relatively quiet period in recruitment, yet the number of searches for candidates within the SecsintheCity CV database in the Accountancy sector increased by 225% from November to December. The Banking and Finance sector also saw a Year on Year rise in searches of 58%.
One role which had a notable rise in search volume was ‘Finance Assistant,’ with a 52% increase in searches since December 2017. The end of 2018 also looked promising for our site’s traditionally popular roles such as PA and EA which increased in search volume by 7% and 6% year on year respectively.
With a high employment rate and demand for permanent staff UK-wide, it might be worth considering a new role in the Banking and Finance sector.
